This was Mansell's only win of 1990, and the Briton was fortunate to survived a scary moment when lapping Philippe Alliot without damage. Alliot, who had given Mansell a lift back to the pits on his Ligier in Hungary, had failed to see Ferrari driver in his mirrors, and crashed out when the paired touched wheels.
